# How to Receive Data from Multiple Gloves Using the MotionBuilder Plugin
DivingStation v1.4.1 or higher
MotionBuilder Plugin v1.1.0 or higher
# Introduction
If you have not yet completed the setup of DivingStation or MotionBuilder, please follow this guide (opens new window) to complete the setup.
# Steps for Connecting Multiple Devices
- Connect the required number of ContactGlove dongles to the PC and allow DivingStation to recognize the gloves (up to 8 devices).
- Enable communication on the MotionBuilder side (go online) and set it to "Live ON".
- Perform "Model Binding" on the MotionBuilder side.
- The number of bindings created will correspond to the number of gloves recognized by DivingStation.
TIP
Steps 1-4 above are the same as the usual procedure (opens new window), except that the number of gloves recognized by DivingStation may vary at the time of the operation.
WARNING
Currently, bindings are created based on the information sent from DivingStation at the time of "Model Binding" (they are not updated in real-time).
Therefore, even if you connect additional gloves (dongles) to DivingStation after performing "Model Binding", the bindings will not be automatically updated.
Make sure to connect the required number of gloves (dongles) to DivingStation before creating the bindings.
# Detailed Specifications
- Definition of "Recognizing Gloves in DivingStation"
When the dongle is connected, DivingStation recognizes that the glove has been connected (registered).
In other words, even if the left or right glove shows as "Disconnected" during the binding process, the binding will still be created.
It is not necessary for the glove to be powered on as long as the dongle is connected.
