# Assembly of Magnetra
# 1. Check the Contents
Contents:
- Magnetra main unit (both hands)
- Extension terminal<->jack conversion parts (both hands)
- Hinge parts (both hands)
- TRRS cable for connection (both hands: length 150mm)
- Fixing screws: Total of 12 (6 for the right hand (3 sizes), 6 for the left hand (3 sizes))
- Spacers: Total of 4 (2 for the right hand, 2 for the left hand)
- Fixing magnets: Total of 2
- Silicone bands: 4 types (total of 8)
- Warranty card
DANGER
Before starting the next step, please turn off the power of the ContactGlove main unit. Also, make sure to read through the instructions before installation. Please note that warranty support cannot be provided for damage caused by assembly in different steps.
# 2. Installation of Hinge Parts
WARNING
Magnetra also serves as an injection prevention part. Before installing Magnetra, please wear the tracker.
Remove the protective cap / injection prevention part of the pre-installed extension terminal on the glove. Carefully store the removed parts to avoid losing them.
WARNING
Check if the extension terminal of the glove main body is correctly installed. If you have previously installed the injection prevention part or the Hardware Upgrade Kit, the extension terminal may be inserted too far.
TIP
If the extension terminal is inserted too far, you can return it to its original position by lowering the main body board with a non-metallic spatula, etc.
Fix the hinge parts and the extension terminal<->jack conversion parts using the included screws.
DANGER
When fixing, be sure to use screws of the appropriate length. Using excessively long screws may damage internal components of the glove. Also, if you use short screws, inadequate fixation may lead to damage to the main body.
The correspondence between the number of spacers and the length of screws is as follows.
TIP
By inserting spacers between the hinge parts and the extension terminal<->jack conversion parts, you can adjust the position of Magnetra. If you feel that the operating surface is too far/close, insert spacers and adjust it to the optimal position.
# 3. Attachment of Fixing Magnets
WARNING
The fixing magnet plate has a specific orientation for attachment. The protrusions on the plate serve to fix the Magnetra main body, and if attached in the wrong direction, operability will significantly decrease. Be sure to attach it in the same direction as shown in the image.
Peel off the protective film of the double-sided tape on the back of the fixing magnet and attach it to the index finger of the glove. The alignment of the center of the part and the base of the index finger is a rough guide. ※ The above is just a rough guide.
TIP
The optimal attachment position of the magnet parts may vary from person to person. Before attaching the magnet parts, check the optimal position in advance, such as by attaching the Magnetra main body to the hinge parts.
WARNING
The shape of the magnet parts is different for the left and right. Refer to the characters engraved on the parts to identify them. Once the magnet parts are attached, it is difficult to reattach them, so be careful not to attach them to the wrong parts.
# 4. Attachment of Magnetra Main Body
Attach the Magnetra main body so that it is fixed by the circular hinge part and the magnet part of the index finger.
# 5. Connection of the Cable
Insert the included TRRS cable. Make sure to firmly insert the connector as shown in the image.
# 6. Attachment of Silicone Bands
To stabilize the fixation of Magnetra and hand tracking, attach the silicone bands. According to the size of your fingers, use your preferred type from the 4 types.
DANGER
If you use a band that is too thick for your finger size, it may cause congestion, etc. If you feel any abnormalities, stop using it immediately.
