This is the explanation page for the accessory "Magnetra2" for ContactGlove2.
Caution
It is not compatible with ContactGlove1.
# Installation Method
# 0 | Attach the Tracker
Attach the tracker to ContactGlove2.
Before attaching Magnetra2, first attach the tracker to the Glove. Use the mounting adapter included with the Glove to attach it to the tracker and then slot it into the rail on the ContactGlove2.
TIP
- The tracker cannot be attached after Magnetra2 is installed.
# 1 | Check the Contents
Take Magnetra2 out of the box.
※The installation screwdriver is included in the ContactGlove2 case.
# 2 | Press the connector of Magnetra2 against the connector of ContactGlove2
- Press firmly so that the spring of the extension connector on ContactGlove2 is compressed.
Caution
Be careful not to incorrectly attach the module to the left or right.
# 3 | Fix Magnetra2 to ContactGlove2 with the included screws
※The installation screws are partially inserted into the screw holes on the connector part of Magnetra2 (the module with the cable) when shipped.
How to tighten the screws
- After tightening the screws to some extent, tighten the two screws alternately a little at a time.
※If you tighten only one side, the screw holes may misalign, making it difficult to secure the screws. In this case, remove both screws and start over.
Caution
Make sure there is no gap between ContactGlove2 and Magnetra2 after securing it.
# 4 | Connect the cable through the "lower" side of the hinge
# Position Adjustment
# | Basic Specifications
- It features two-step adjustable hinges fixed by axle screws.
- By rotating each hinge, you can adjust the position of the operation surface.
- The tightness adjustment of each hinge is as follows:
- Rotate the axle screw right to tighten.
- Rotate the axle screw left to loosen.
- The four ball springs on the hinge's rotation surface are pressed by the axle screws to fix the hinge's rotation direction.
- By loosening the axle screw completely and removing it, you can remove Magnetra2.
- By tightening the axle screw completely, you can fix the position of the operation surface.
# | Adjusting the Strength of the Click Feel
You can adjust the strength of the click feel during hinge rotation by tightening or loosening the axle screw.
About Tightening the Axle Screw
- Loosening | Enables the latch operation (i.e., click-type step adjustment) of the hinge.
- Tightness | Adjusts the tightness of the hinge (i.e., difficulty of rotation).
- Tightening | Enables semi-fixed/fixed position of the operation surface at any position.
Optimal Tightening of the Hinge
- The hinge should not rotate even if shaken lightly.
- When moved by hand, it should make a click sound and perform a latch operation.
※If the axle screw is tightened too much, the screw may break or become impossible to remove. It is recommended to loosen the screw during long-term storage.
# | Cable
Magnetra2 operates by connecting the CG2 body via the cable.
※Be sure to connect the cable through the lower side of the hinge as shown in Step 4.
About Cabling
The cable length of Magnetra2 is sufficient for normal use.
When making large position adjustments or during storage, always disconnect the cable.
